Table. Vaccines recommended for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

These vaccines are in addition to the vaccines recommended for all Australians, or those recommended in particular medical, occupational, behavioural or other risk groups.

BCG	Neonates living in areas of high tuberculosis incidence in the Northern Territory, Queensland and northern South Australia 1 dose
Hepatitis A	Children living in the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia 2 doses before 5 years of age, with the first dose in the 2nd year of life
Hepatitis B	Non-vaccinated and non-immune adults
Influenza	All people aged ≥6 months Annual vaccination
MenACWY and MenB (meningococcal)	Children and adolescents aged 2 months to 19 years
Pneumococcal conjugate (13vPCV, 15vPCV or 20vPCV)	Children living in the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia (3-dose primary course with a booster dose in second year of life [extra dose at 6 months of age]) All adults aged ≥50 years (1 dose)
23vPPV (pneumococcal polysaccharide)	Children living in the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia – 2 doses (dose 1 at 4 years of age and dose 2 at least 5 years after dose 1) All adults aged ≥50 years – 2 doses (dose 1 at 12 months after the PCV dose and dose 2 at least 5 years after dose 1)
Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)	Adults aged ≥60 years (1 dose)
