Changes to the recommended use of Herpes zoster vaccine to prevent herpes infection

Public consultation for the revised Herpes zoster vaccine recommendations in the Australian Immunisation Handbook was conducted over a four week period from 8 July 2022 to 7 August 2022, during which time the draft recommendations were available on the Citizen Space website. The Immunisation Branch invited a range of stakeholders, committees, working groups and interested people to provide submissions.

This report outlines the public consultation comments received for the revised Herpes zoster vaccine recommendations. This submission was approved by NHMRC on 6 December 2022.
