You are here Home Recommendations Recommendations Pregnant women are recommended to receive a single dose of dTpa vaccine in each pregnancy Listen Print Share Twitter Facebook Email dTpa vaccine is recommended as a single dose in each pregnancy, ideally early in the 3rd trimester. This helps prevent pertussis in pregnant women and their newborns (see Pertussis). See Table. For details see the National Immunisation Program schedule. Breastfeeding women can receive dT or dTpa vaccines.
